The mixer uses four plows, specially designed to mix the material thoroughly and evenly. There are two end scrapers located in the mixing chamber to prevent material from building up at the ends and not mixing properly. The plows are turned using a 7.5-hp motor.
There are two choppers located on the back of the mixer. The chopper is equipped with star type blades and driven by 5 hp motors. The chopper shafts use adjustable air purge seals, which prevent the dust from leaking past the chopper shafts. |
