The mixer uses four ploughs, specially designed to mix the material thoroughly and evenly. There are two end scrapers located in the mixing chamber to prevent material from building up at the ends and not mixing properly. The ploughs are turned using a .75-hp motor through an inline gear reducer. There is a flex coupling which connects the gear reducer to the main motor.

There is one chopper located on the back of the mixer. The chopper is equipped with blade type knives and driven by .5 hp motor. The chopper shaft uses adjustable air purge seals, which prevent the dust from leaking past the chopper shaft.
