This machine also replaces the slower multi-function reciprocating machines. The chamfer is designed to produce simple angled parts, without use of special fixtures for that purpose. Any of the three functions may be performed independently of the other operations. The parts are conveyor fed into the machine. An operator must place the parts on the conveyor in a correct orientation. The parts exit the machine one at a time in an orderly fashion. On this machine a flip mechanism has been included at the exit end to present the parts friction face down. The parts are carried through the machine in magnetic fixtures, riding on a chain conveyor. The chain conveyor speed is adjustable for finer cuts or greater production speeds. The adjustment of each independent head is digitally controlled from the display panel by an electro-servo motor. There are two grinding heads for a coarse cut and a finer finish cut.
